My service to my couples is to listen to what they want  and then create their desired ceremony.  This may include readings, candle lightings to remember loved ones, additional ceremonies such as sand, rose or hand fastening, or a traditional custom for a small or large wedding in just about any location.

My services include officiating at weddings, renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies, baby namings and pet namings and my fee includes everything listed below:

*  Two meetings either at my home or yours.

*  A wedding pack which includes sample ceremonies, vows and readings, Notice of Intended Marriage form, relationship guidance information and code of practice for Marriage Celebrants.

*  Lodgement of Notice of Intended Marriage Form.

*  Administration costs including research, emails, phone calls, photocopying and printing of ceremony.

*  Creating your personalised ceremony.

*  A full rehearsal (for weddings only).

*  A total of 2 hours travelling time including meetings and ceremony.

*  Provision of a quality public address system with CD capability and table for signing certificates.

*  Officiating at your ceremony.

*  Completion of all legal paperwork (weddings only).

Once chosen as your celebrant a meeting will be organised to discuss your ceremony requirements and legal obligations, including completion of the Notice of Intended Marriage form (NOIM).

On my receipt of the NOIM a booking fee of $150 is payable to confirm the ceremony in my calendar with the balance payable at least 2 weeks before the ceremony.

A final meeting is usually held 2 weeks before your wedding and may incorporate your rehearsal should you wish to have one.

On your wedding day I will arrive at least half hour before your ceremony to ensure all is as requested and set up the PA system and signing table if required, and liaise with the groom, venue staff and photographer as necessary.

There are four legal requirements in a wedding ceremony, the Monitum (the celebrant advises she/he is authorised by law to solemnise marriages according to law and advises of the solemn and binding nature of the marriage relationship); the first sentence of the vows “I call upon the persons here present to witness that I ....... take you ........ to be my lawful wedded husband/wife” after this you can choose your own vows; the signing of Marriage Certificates; and pronouncing the couple as husband and wife. 

Creating a personally tailored wedding ceremony is easily done by including additional elements such as a candle lighting ceremony to remember loved ones, one or two readings by family members or friends, bride and groom exchanging wedding rings (all of which are included in my Standard Wedding Ceremony), or an additional ceremony such as a sand ceremony where each participant has a different colour sand which is poured into a glass container making a unique and colourful memento of your ceremony.  Other types of ceremonies include rose, hand fastening, or there may be a traditional ceremony you wish to incorporate.

Should you choose an outside venue for your ceremony it is advisable to visit it on the same day and time of your wedding to determine the noise level and to have a back-up plan in case of bad weather. If a Council Permit is required remember to have it with you on the day!
